| It would be nice to see a beta release before the final version, rather than like when v3.4 was released, which didn't have a beta & had some bugs in it. At least with a beta, people would know that there is more chance of bugs and would be more wary of using it in production environments. It would also give more people a chance to look over the code and suggest improvments before the final release.< |

That would be fine if people didn't use it in production environments, but previous releases had people using betas in production and we were getting blamed left and right for bugs in the beta causing problems.< |

Maybe you should know better before saying things like these. I've seen the alpha version in use and I can tell you its real and it's close to a status where it could be beta released. Hadn't Bozden decided to leave, I think it would have been out by now (v.4.0Beta4).< |

Interesting enough Hizoze also didn't contibute in the development. I think (s)he is from Vietnam, and according to this link (http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=25195) there is no Vietnam version for beta 3 also...
I also did not see that link I posted above. I think I scanned this are well. When I search for "Vietnam" I found this  ...

Hi.
I am one of the persons that was watching the development of the version 4, but got too impatient (needed Norwegian version so badly). Then I found Image's forum, and after that I have been in heaven..!
Image is really doing a great job, and the forum (or Portal) is now available in several languages. He also implemented lot's of useful MOD's which you can turn ON or OFF after your own choice. This is a really great Snitz MOD'ed version 3.4.03!

I know, that most developers doesīnt like those kind of questions...
but it would be nice, to hear what the actual status of the internationalization-project is, because many people want only to know if itīs worth to wait or do an own translation.
If there are only a few days (or maybe weeks) I would wait, but if itīs not sure when there will be a release (or if there ever will be a realease!), than please let us know.
What I liked was the way bozden did his work: He often showed the status of the project to the whole community.
I heard some rumors, that the forum would not be translated and that there are no more developers which would like to do this work. Is that the truth?
Why donīt you leave a version for the whole community? In the past there where many preview and beta-versions which could be tested and improved by everyone. The reason that it is possible that everyone use it in production environment is not a real reason, I think, because it is the problem of the person who uses a beta in production environment and not your problem. You donīt have to give support for betas...
I don't want to criticize you, but I hope to get only some good informations. < |
