Do I have to import all the users and group names from AD to see the groups as a user name? If so how do the groups get updated?
Currently I only see names for people who have visited, or the small list of users that I have imported.

I have searched the Forums and archives by NT Groups and found nothing relevant to this.

Windows 2k server with IIS5
Snitz 2000 Version 3.4.03 with File Upload and File List Mods.
MsSQL Backend
NT Groups are ON
NT AutoLogon is ON and functional.

Does anyone have "NT Groups" turned on and see NT Domain Security Groups in their user lists when assigning who has access to a forum?

After some testing I found that when setting the "Auth Type:" to "NT Global Group" for a forum, and then carefully putting the Active Directory Global Security Group name in the "Password or Global Groups:" field...
The security does in fact work.
The config form however will not provide you with a list of available security groups.
This works well because I have 30 some Forums in a catagory but now I can reference 1 Security group in Active Directory and apply security to all of those forums from 1 place.

Yes alot of members use this. However, it will not show in a list. You must enter the Groups in the password field with a "," between them..

Example

Group1, group2, group3

If you have everything turnon and groups listed, it will open the forum to the members in the groups.

This is how i created the NT mode for this forum. I know it can be improved. i Just have not had the time. I would love to make it add to a list. I also would like to make a Form group and then add the Domain groups to the Forum group. Then you just add the forum group the forums. This way is you need to change a forum group to add or remove you do it once :-)
