I recently bought the Half-Life Platimun Collection (Half-Life, Opposing Force, Coutner Strike, Team Fortress, and Blue Shift). However, after I installed it and followed EVERY intruction exactly, my counter strike and blue shift will not work properly, and I cannot play any online games at all. I keeps saying that my game_name_here.exe is outdated and will now check for updates. But, I have downloaded the updates and still, it will not work! I tryed going to the Sierra forums and posting this, but you could not register with a free e-mail account (ex. Hotmail which I have). So I came here with hopes that someone either plays these games or knows how to fix the problem.

Also, when I try to open up Half-Life: Blue Shift, that annoying dialog box comes up saying that "This program has performed and Illegal operation and wil be shut down" . I'm very dissapointed in Sierra with this, I've tryed their support files on thier site but they didnt help, and I figured that when they sell a program, it should be the newest version, and you shouldn't have to download patches!!! Thank you for your help

You do realize that game is almost 4 years old now. As for the installs for counterstike at least first download and install the latest patch 1.1.10 or something like that. Then download and install the latest counterstrike from their site. You can use their little help thingy to figure out which of the two versions you will need to download.
