Since many users of a forum are from different timezones then what the forum is set to I was thinking that there could be a mod to display the correct time for each user (set in profile). I am not sure how hard this would be to implement.
Maybe there is a mod that does this already? |

Just needs a drop-down box with -12 to +12 in the register and/or profile pages. The result would be stored as an integer and added to the time/date where it is displayed one each page. |

Its a tiny bit more complicated than that D3mon ideally you also want to correctly calculate Daylight Savings start and ends, there are fixed algorithims to do it but it does add a little more complexity. |

I think bozden has added it to the alpha int'l version. I'd like to know the difference of his modification and the mod mentioed above though. |

Huw did one.
I think the best bet would be to make it work with the computers time so it is set to everyones computer, this way you dont have to worry about DayLight Saving Time and so on. |

Huwr did a great one for 3.1 and I think 3.3 shame it never made it into the final 3.4 build really it's one of the few "mods" I'd put my vote in for being worthy of being a core component. Sounds like 4 might have it though perhaps so that will be great if its correct :) |
