I like the colours, but think that the white text against the light cell background image is a little hard to read too (in your table headers).
Also, on the 'top read' posts table on the right of the screen, here it looks odd, the columns for the 'read' section could be smaller, there looks to be a lot of space for the number of views, and a lot less for the thread title, but that could just be my browser (mozilla).
Plus, it doesn't look like your sites layout is designed 'fluidly' to occupy the available screen width, i get scroll bars each side using both Mozilla and IE at 1024x768.
I think it looks really cool, like a HIFI display to me, but there are things there that make it hard to use. |

I was trying to enter some topics to see how topic.asp looked, but the ones I tried were restricted to registered users. |

Thanks sy, for the comments. I was going for a Hi-Fi look so i made it look like (some-what) the words is comming out of the cells. And how would i make the table with by percentage?. I have been looking for that because your not the only one who said that. If fit fine tho in my browser (IE). But, when i'm in school i'd have to school to the left and up and down to try and get it even. So if you know how i could do this i would be thankful. |

No problem jaydee_z.
Basically, you need to convert from fixed widths to percentage widths, there is an article here that does a good job of explaining just what to do. |

check out inc_header.asp, around line 384, there is this:
quote:
response.write vbNewLine & _
"<table align=""center"" border=""0"" cellPadding=""0"" cellSpacing=""0"" width=""100%"">" & vbNewLine & _ " <tr>" & vbNewLine & _
change the width percentage to whatever % of the page you want the forum to fill up. |

Forgive me if this sounds dense, but why are you using ASP/Windows when your site banner says Audio Unix? |

Lol, Its a theme. Audio, as in hiphop and music period. And Unix, because its so complex.
lol Its not a operating system or anything. Its just like why Dodge(the car) pick the logo "Ram" . Because, it was catchy |

Hi Jaydee
as I'm not very familar with this language, you may excuse some of my words for they are not the right ones, instead they are honest.
I think, you are a bit too loud for the given purpose. There are so many mods and possibilities for your user to follow, that he couldn't decide. It is great, sure! But he or she is only a man or a woman, not prepared whu! what a great forum but what gets h/s out of it? -
And by having an advice to you, truly said, I suggest you try ONE font, ONE color first before having more ones. - Take font size 2, it is clear to read. Take a grey one, as the contrast is too high to read instead, and check for the messages you have. - Be sure they are read by the right people, and understood. -
The less is more. And most of all, don't follow others, create your own unique style. That's I can say
Warm regards Jürgen / H. here |

Well seeing that the BG of the cells and headers are different colors i change them you fit so everyone can see it. The font size i beleive is on 2 but in the header font its 3. I know there is alot of mods at work. But, like you said. Make my own unique forum. not based on everyone else forum. So i really do love you advice. I might take away a couple of mods becuz some of them don't work or i installed them wrong. |
