I'm taking the risk of displaying my first Forum! http://www.fornof.org/Forum/default.asp It has worked very well for this family site. Last week one of the older members of the family was taken to the hospital. Through an announcement in the Forum, everyone around the country found out and called and visited her. Very important.

I am new to any type of programming and this community helped me learn how to install and set up this Forum. I was very grateful and very impressed.

It's a rather basic install, but as you said, it completely fits your needs, so I guess saying that it could use custom icons, and perhaps the menu from the site is kind of useless.
The only thing I do have to say is that I find the font sizes too big. The fonts are proportional, so if you set it smaller, those who need the text to be bigger can set the text size to "Large" or "Largest" in their browser through View > Text Size (Netscape and other non-IE browsers might have the option elsewhere)
