Unfortunatly I think alot of americans just see this whole 'war' as a big TV movie.

I'm discusted by my own father who daily makes his bowl of microwave popcorn then sits down to watch the daily news footage as a form of 'entertainment'.

Also, that 71% statistic sounds like a bunch of hogwash. War supporters are very much a minority where I live.

Sounds like me

The statement below is 99.9% accurate:

"Of those who quote statistics in conversation, 87 percent make up their numbers, 93 percent of the time."

About the American media.

I found this story on msnbc, a fairytale style adventure . . .

http://www.msnbc.com/news/891353.asp?0cv=CB10

There is a video that acompanies the article. Can anyone else point out why the video is not legit? At least some scences are fake and I can proove it. I just want to know if anyone else sees it.

Your help is requested.

I have read your post and answered with a fact of my own (as well as a memorable quote from Ike).

Is Iraq worth $75 billion dollars? This is about saving American lives from a real threat in this region. Not money.
Is it about Iraqi freedom? No, but liberating Iraq is an incentive.
The western media has widely reported that a pair of Pakistan's preiminent nuclear scientists have MET with Osama Bin Laden. we should be invading Pakistan. Wrong, but we should be looking for these two scientists.
Israel is widely acknowledged to have nuclear weapons and I don't see Bush putting pressure on our Israeli friends to give them up? That is debatable and could probably start another thread.
I conceed that Hussein is a dictator who persecutes the Iraqi people. I agree that Hussein has not cooperated with the UN and is probably developing WMD. There's a short fat dictator in North Korea doing the same thing and the tone from the Bush administration is decidedly different. At this time, Hussein is more of a threat.

seahorse,

Heynow777, would you please summerise or list the facts you have? and what facts you want from others, I'm afraid that I failed to see them. This is not personal, but I'd like to see do you think the US government does do propaganda and censorship (I don't mean the one like the POW and similar things)

You want me to repeat myself because you don't want to research the thread?

People are glued to their televisions because we are at war and they are concerned. Sorry, but it is 71% and not hogwash...You just choose not to believe it.

Tell your father not to use too much butter and I am sure he is very proud of you..

This 71% is same as saying "Third position in a class of 4 Students" How many people voted in the poll which gave a figure of 71%.

I have read all posts as you will find I have been participating in this discussion from the beginning and you have repeated quiet a few times of 'You choose to ignore them'. It sounds rude to me.

Ok, let me rephrase it then...You choose not to believe them. I used "ignore" because many you didn't reply to.

This is not a discussion between me and you. I do not expect everyone to reply to my each post and also do not want myself to be replying to each post of others. If I read someone else has replied to your post and it is similar to what I would say, I see no point in replying unless I have something more to say. Sometimes I don't reply and prefer to read what others have to say.

Believing is different. I do not agree because the reasons given by you are not convincing.

Ok, you don't believe what I say, but why ask again? After I have already giving you all my reasons.

I was asking if you have any other reasons then what you have already given. Now I know you have given all your reasons, so I won't ask.

We can clearly see that your own poll is much more scientific and reliable than CNN's.
At least until they come up better numbers.
