I have set up a private forum as Allowed Member List (Hidden) with No Subscriptions Allowed.
If I set the subscription level to Forum Subscriptions Allowed, will the email notifications be sent ONLY to the members on the Allowed Members List or to everyone that is subscribed to the board??
Thanks. |

Yes, only the allowed users should receive the subscription mails. |

I have a private forum with "Allowed Member List (Hidden)" access. I did not specify any members because I only want admins to be able to access this forum, and they have rights regardless. However, several of my admins have subscribed to this forum and do not get notifications. Am I correct in assuming that one must be a specified member to get notifications, despite the fact that they are an admin? Can future versions of Snitz be revised to override the mandate to be specified if the user is an admin? I should mention that I have the "AdminLevel MOD V1.1 for SF2K V3.4.03" installed, and these admins are of the lower-level admin (non-SuperAdmin) types. Perhaps this would have worked for the ture (super) admins by default?
Just to be clear that I am fairly confident the problem is not me: I have read extensively on subscription problems in this board, and I know that: - my email functions work - my forum has "board level subscriptions" activated in the admin options - my categories are all set to allow subscriptions - my forums are all set to allow subscriptions - the subscriptions show correctly in the "All Subscriptions" link at the top right of the screen
Can a Snitz expert weigh in here please - have I diagnosed the problem correctly? Could future Snitz versions check mLev prior to refusing notifications on the basis of lack of being a specified member to the forum? Thanks in advance... |

Actually, even members in the "Allowed Member List:" don't get notified (at least with Forum Subscriptions). To double-check I put the forum in "All Visitors" mode and sure enought I got notified.
Am I overlooking something obvious? |

Me either - the problem I described above is solved by adding them to the allowed member list. Are you sure you've enabled subscriptions at each forum and in the admin options? Look over my checklist above for potential errors... |
