1) how can i edit the registration page so that
firstname
surname
age
gender

are required fields?

2) after successful LOGIN or Registration, under where the confirmation is displayed, I would like the the user to be given the option of clicking a link to..
a)being able to go to the forum , or
b) go to my main site.

Currently the user is auto forwarded to the forum, how can i stop this??

thanks

PS: I had a hell of a job to register with this snitz forum, everytime i clicked on "accept terms and conditions" it would just reload the terms and conditions page. and i even changed my ie6 settings to accept all cookies. i had to clear my cache 6 times and disable my firewall befoore i could get to the signup page.

In reverse order -

The forum software uses the HTTP_Referrer tag, which is typically disabled by firewall programs such as Norton or ZoneAlarm. There are several postings in this site which offer changes to the code to let you ignore the HTTP_Referrer tag or warn other users to try disabling their firewall. Look at http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=41148&SearchTerms=HTTP_REFERER for more details.

You can make basically anything required. Look at the 4th and 5th posts at this link: http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=41533&SearchTerms=required,field

The forum software already has a "home" link in the upper right which links back to your main web site.
