Ah, don't mind me. I was just cold and cranky from shoveling. I'm better now after a little bit of warmth and rest. Now, tomorrow

From what I've seen on TV, maybe tomorrow you should just roll back under the blankets :)

Out here we got rain at the ski areas over the last few days (and plenty of rain in the LA area).

Well, yesterday was fun (my arms are still tired...)

It was hard to tell exactly how much snow we had, but I can guarantee you it was too much. I now have six to seven foot piles of snow beside my driveway....

Here's what my driveway looked like when I got up yesterday morning. Keep in mind I had shoveled three different times the day before, and as late as 10PM that night. This was 8 the next morning. That's my neon you can kinda see in the picture:

It took me 4 hours to shovel the snow off my drivaway yesterday. At the edge of driveway was 5ft high wall (thanks to plough trucks) running 10 feet deep (and 10 feet wide) into the driveaway blocking the exit to road. By the time I finished it was well over 2500 sq ft of snow shoveled...

We only had 12-15 inches here. I went out a few times during the day to stay ahead of the accumulation. I'd rather shovel 4-5 inches three times than 15 inches all at once. My driveway is pretty long (125 feet) and wide back by the garage so it's a lot of work. I was so wiped out I took three naps during the day.

I was really nervous because my wife is a week away from her due date and I didn't want to have to drive to the hospital in all that snow if she went into labor.

I lived in the mountains above Denver, we brought our first son home from the hospital, got home and that night there was over 36" and we were snowed in for almost 1 week before the road to our house was passable again. Luckily we had just had a big shopping trip, so it was light off the fireplace and enjoy the peace and quiet :)

We got 2 feet here in Boston. Of course my brand new snowblower won't start so I've been shoveling all day. Time for a lunch break!
