A lot of modern alternative browsers let you change the UA string to enable better acceptability for those sites that insist on farming out different content to different browsers, by way of redirection or alternate style sheets.
I used to use it on mozilla a few builds back to let me see some sites as IE would, simply because i got fed duff stylesheets and i'm probably not the only one [theregister.co.uk] |
