I've just installed Opera 7 after I read on news.com.com that the final release was there. When I tested my own sites I noticed three things that're really different from Opera 6: 1- tables set to 100% height get the height of the table as if you hadn't set the height to 100% (example: http://www.frutzle.com/contact.asp displays almost right on Opera 6 (the height is more than 100%, but okay), but on Opera 7 it shows a lot of white space at the bottom)
2- setting the marginwidth and -height to zero in the body tag works. Check out http://www.rakkoon.com in Opera 6 and Opera 7 to see the difference (maybe I did something wrong on Rakkoon.com that I did right on FrutZle.com, but I don't see the difference)
3- custom borders for form fields and buttons aren't shown in Opera 7. I checked http://www.frutzle.com/contact.asp and http://www.frutzle.com/dvds/ and form fields and buttons that have a custom border don't show any border while in Opera 6 it shows everything as if nothing had been specified in the CSS file.
I'm not sure yet if I like Opera 7, even though it's almost perfect (even the tabs of multiple pages can be moved/ordered!), so I guess I'll just have to try it some more. |
