I am working on a personal site which I have owned and operated for over 6 years. We have went through many changes in the last 2 years and basically its evident on the site since the design and the programming are not all matching.. Kinda ugly in some area's. Anyways I think I owe it to my users to make something better. I have been working on a new site idea and design for over 2 years now, and I think I have the finished product ready to be created. Here is what I need;

Website Designer (content mainly)

This person will be responsible for finishing the remaining content pages, mainly using templates of pages we have already created. As well if they feel they can improve upon some graphics they can also do that. This job is fairly minor since most of the work is already complete and whats left is copying and pasting with a few edits, so if you are good with HTML this should be fairly simple.

Website Programmer

My server runs ASP, so the site will need to be mainly ASP. There is quite a bit of programming to do, I don't want to get into specfics on this board, but there is a fair amount, and testing/bug fixing will be part of this position.

** I am still a student in Information Systems so you can garuntee the work is very organized. I don't have time deadlines for work, as long as its moving and not at a dead stop. I would like someone who has alot of free time they could donate to this. So being a student the budget is not very large, so if you are a professional programmer looking to charge professional prices, please don't bother.

Whats in it for you???

Well the designer will get some money, since the work is fairly simple and not much of it, it will also reflect in the pay, this doesn't mean you will receive nothing, just you will not receive enough to put a downpayment on a house=)

The programmer, being stuck with alot more work, will also be able to see this in their pay. Again I am a student and the pay isnt going to be big, but if you are interested in a fun project and wouldn't mind a couple hundred extra bucks then let me know ASAP.

As well both the designer and the programmer will be eligible for benefits that the site may produce in the future, from free stuff from advertisers, to sales on online stores we already have affiliated, to possibly even more money if I can actually turn a profit.

For more information about this position please contact me at either of these 2 ways;

I think an important thing you're forgetting is a link to the site you're talking about. The things I do in my spare time have to be entertaining for me in one way or another. If I were to tell you I'd help out without having seen the site, and then the site is about something I don't care about the least bit, it'd show in the results.

Well considering the reason im requesting the work is because I don't like the current site, that was my main reason for not posting it, but I have no problem posting it. http://www.thecgn.com

Here is a description of what the site is, and what i am planning for it.

It is a gaming ladder unlike other gaming ladders, it will have the best of all ladders out there in one script, and will provide something extra that other ladders have not used the way it should be.

The site is mainly a gaming ladder system, I plan on eventually turning it into an online store, an online review site for both hardware and software, as well as a online games room.

I have the entire process planned out, basically I want to start with the ladders, and if that brings enough attention, I will move on to add the other parts. The ladders are a multi-step process, so the pay will reflect this, I will pay at each completion point, which will be beneficial to the programmer, because I might have an opportunity to pay more. I do plan on donating products from our companies when available to the staff or creators of the site. I already have been negotiating a start up advertisement deal with a few large companies, and im sure once I can lock them, I will also be able to get alot of the smaller companies to participate.

My goal for this site is not to become rich, my goal is to make enough money from this site to keep myself happy with extra pocket cash, and my staff happy with money and free stuff. FYI, one of the companies I am talking too about sponsorship is a video card maker, so there is a chance we might get some new top of the line video cards for testing or for prizes.

For pay, it is still negotiable, I have a set number in my head, but depending on the time of completion points, it might be more. As well, if the site does start to turn a profit, I also plan on sending some of that profit in the direction of the staff, depending on amount and time restrictions.

I have been doing this site for the last 6-7 years for free, I think sharing profit won't be a problem.. heh..

Please ICQ me or email if you are able to participate.
