Depends on what the crime is. For crimes less than murder and child molestation absolutely. But after reading his dancing around the issue of his guilt I wonder if he has learned anything. I will not be surprised to see him in jail again considering how little he seems to grasp that he did any wrong.

@tomic - the freekevin.com link was meant (as it said) to be read *in conjunction* with the other links already posted for an all-round view.
I'm not bothered which side of the fence, if any, people come down on. All I care about is open discussion and people being allowed to defend themselves, etc. Reckon we all do.
And I don't think he's anybody's hero, is he? Yeh crime is crime, I don't do it, other people do all sorts of very nasty things (and funnily enough one country's crime is another's liberty, but that's another story). Crime is bad, by definition. You can wish it all away, or you can be prepared. Some people want guns because the baddies have guns. Some people want to understand about security vulnerabilities cos thats where the baddies will be be targetting. And one mans admin utility is another mans cracker tool!
Maybe he'll do something stupid again, maybe not. If I were him I'd aim for a lucrative career as a light-grey hat on the security and lecturing circuit. Maybe with @stake or similar? |

Kevin appears to be surfing the web again, at least it looks like he is moderating his own Snitz Forum |

I'd agree with Doug, but so long as Kevin keeps his nose clean and stays out of trouble I have no objection to him being freed.
The unknown hackers are the ones I'd be more concerned with now.
