When a pending member clicks on the link in the e-mail msg to complete the registration, the link goes to "Page Not Available"

We can send e-mail messages to members thru the forum and the verification msgs get to the pending members OK but the verification links always dead end...

We have verified that the entire link is being used (the end is not on another line).

The pending member shows in the Pending table and the Admin can complete the registration manually but we prefer the automatic e-mail verification...

No fire walls involved...

Just a guess but perhaps this is not an e-mail problem but is a database problem in not correctly registering the verification key?

Any suggestions for a fix would be welcome.

What is the exact error the person trying to verify the email address gets?
Did you verifu that the URL in the link is correct (perhaps there's a wrong URL for the forums in the forums' configuration)?

Thank you frutZle for your help...

You were right on target...the URL was not correct, it ended with \forum when it should have been \forums

As soon as the URL was corrected, all was OK

I had looked at that URL entry at least ten times and never noticed the error, your message was the invite to look once more...this time with my eyes open...
Thanks again

I am getting the same problem but my URL seems OK. In setup it is /forum and in the URL it is the same. But when you click on the link in the email you get Page cannot be displayed.

I suspected a problem with the URL. Turns out my suspicion was founded. Glad it's fixed now .
