For those who may or may not know... My wife and I made the base smilie set for Snitz Forums 2000... Mostly from scratch... I did them pixel by pixel (particularly the background balls...
She made the "Blush", the "Black Eye" the Girlie Red Lips one... the "Wink" and "Innocent" and "Sleepy"... "Surprised", "Disapprove" and "Approve"
I made the Smile, Big Smile, Cool, Clown, Tongue Out, Devil, Dead and ?
The Figure 8 was donated and put on my ball background... and the sad face was borrowed and some pixels moved. |

You and your wife did an excellent job! I have tried some icons of my own and it is very difficult to make images that small and make them look good at the same time.

I'm impressed you got your wife to help. There is no way my wife would touch anything related to a computer except for email, and surfing the web.

You guys are pros! Your smilies have longevity!
Your basic smile is one of the best; the tongue is great ; and the approve and disapprove are uniquely appropriate.
Kudos! |

I was just thinking on how many sites (non Snitz) where I´ve seen these smileys. |

I also did not know that!
Great job! The Art of Icon - particularly Smile Icons is very difficult.
I think Snitz, because of you, has some of the simplest and classiest smiley icons available. They're subtle, simple, and beautiful.
As I've created my own and added some from other donations, I've made sure they're all the same type of icons that you created - look and feel.
It's nice to know the person behind the smile. |
