How about a event calendar administration mod to allow people to change the layout and view and other settings on the calendar.
some possible options :
You can select where calendar is seen from. (default.asp, portal_content.asp, all pages, etc.).
Calendar Orientation - Top of Page, Bottom of Page, etc...
Calendar Display - horizontal, vertical
What is Displayed - past events, current events, future events
Displayed Past Events Time frame - 3 days , 1 week , 1 month
Displayed Future Events Time frame - 3 days , 1 week , 1 month
Email Notifications of Events - all members, by subscription
frequency of emails - daily, 2 days, 3 days, weekly, monthly
calendar size - default, smaller, larger
current events font - choose font type, bold, italic, underline, etc.
past events font - choose font type, bold, italic, underline, etc.
future events font - choose font type, bold, italic, underline, etc.
I am sure there are other things that can be done, I am just brain storming at work.
this would probably be a 'Dream Calendar'.
