Try logging in to your Web host provider and look for the Database setup tool and enter the database path.
e:\websites\site.com\forum\photos

Cant get the file upload to work. Says "Error! File did not upload to system".
Have check all out with my provider. All permissions are o.k. FSO access also o.k.
Could it be a problem with the uploader. smartupload is allowed on the server. upload.asp is not allowed.
Can smartupload be used with the photoalbum mod - and how? |

Hey brothers can any one help me in this My photo album is working but it is not generating thumbnails i dont have any thumbnails software installed but im using no thumbnail option it supposed to resize the image as thumbnail ? right but it is not u can visit my photo album here.

Potential Bug....
If I click the "Upload" button without having anything in the filename field, the processor usage goes to 99% on my machine and the browser freezes. Can anyone confirm this as a bug on another machine??
DO NOT try this if you are using a Web host as you will tick off your host. ONLY try it if you have a local testing machine that you can get to the task manager on.
Who knows...maybe it's just me....

This appears to me a problem with any filename that does not have a .jpg, .bmp, .png, .tif, or .gif extenstion. Apparently, the application needs some error trapping in case someone just types in a filename instead of using the browse button.

Retro, I have tried to duplicate your problem if I manually type in a file name or leave the field blank it should trap it and report:
Error!
Invalid character or bad word in any of the text fields. Please correct and try again
The app has a ton of error checking and file checking built into it. Can you give some more detail on your setup?

There are several security holes I am working to fix them the app was never written to be ultra secure to begin with. I have added some security as far as people running sql insert attacks but haven't finished coding it to keep others from accessing photos from other albums. Things are comming along just VERY slowly.

Also, sorry if has been mentioned before, but there is a problem when creating albums for users with invalid (.!* etc) characters in their names, which I would have thought would be due to the folder naming, I know it would be alot of work just now but maybe in a future release it would be best to name folders as the member_id??

Hi David,
It's changes in the photo_album.asp code as Dayve and a few others have done it. I'm juz adding in part of his code. Those in brackets are actually no. of photos. Should be the same as yours.
My wish is that the photo album link could be in the topic.asp so that users can click on the link of each poster. That will be more convenient. Also only those with photos in their album will only show up in the link at the topic.asp

Looking at your album you have a number in brackets, is this the number of categories or number of photos??
I've actually done it myself on http://193.109.68.9/ukmkivs/forum/photo_album.asp as number of photos.
Has there been a new release recently or did you add this?
