Hi Wes,
Glad to see that you are still with us!
I understand completely on the SLOWLY part of life. LOL!
Thanks for keeping us updated on the MOD though!
I'm setting up Snitz 3.4.03 for a friend and using this photo MOD on it. Since I am new to this version of the forums, I'll probably be asking you some questions after I read all the other posts here at Snitz.
Nice MOD though!
BTW, I went by your Galant site at wesworld and completely forgot which email and username I used there. Could you please email me with those specifics?
Happy New Year,
Etymon

If anyone visiting your album uses Netscape 4.5, then they won't be able to view photo_album.asp due to a table not being closed.
At line 629 after the end if in line 628 add the following:
response.write " </td>"&VbnewLine&_ " </tr>"&VbnewLine&_ "</table>"&VbnewLine
That should help.

To fix the bug where some users cannot edit pictures and get sent to the photo_album.asp page do the following:
photo_album_detail.asp line 107 replace if Trim(UserName) = Trim(strDBNTUserName) then with if Trim(LCase(UserName)) = Trim(LCase(strDBNTUserName)) then
Should do the trick |

I'm having some problems with the Edit Photo Options (photo_album_detail.asp). See the page shown below;
The Move to Folder option is blank. It supposed to show the various categories that I have but it's not showing.
Some of the members are having the same problem while others have no problem.
I'm using snitz forum ver.3.4.03 and here's my url; http://www.bettaclub.org.sg/forum/default.asp
Pls help. Thank you.

Would I be right in thinking that the advantage of using nconvert is a faster loading page of thumbnails? That's what I'd like to achieve... but my ISP won't let me access aspexec for security reasons. Has anyone used aspimage instead?
Thanks Mike. |

Hi I've tried installing the mod with no luck. The first time I ran the admin_album.asp it worked normally by creating the tables, But since then I haven't been able to open any album page.. It just timesout.
I am guessing it has something to do with filesystemobject, but since i'm a newbie, i have no idea what to do.... HELP!
thanks Octavio |

I've read through the thread and realized that the following error has not been solved.
This message appears when I attempt to upload a photo from harddisk using troubleshoot in admin section:
quote:
exact path to file: /thinh/test/photo Write to file failed. No Errors detected, If you are still haveing problems please send me an email to Wesley Brown File has been saved in file system.
View this file:
logo_powered_by.gif
The link to the image is broken by some spaces inserted right before the filename. It looks like this:
http://baotq.net/thinh/test/photo%20%20%20%20%20/logo_powered_by.gif
The directory is read-write-enabled (CHMOD 766)
I cannot upload any photos using the normal Upload function either. Pressing button UPLOAD FILES INTO ALBUM takes forever until you get
Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0113'
Script timed out
The installation is OK except uploading
Anyone can helpppppppppppppppppppppppp?

Has anyone figured out how to fix the spacing problem mentioned earlier in this post??? When my upload completes it places several spaces in the path to the uploaded file. |

OK, I must be dim witted, or very tired, or both, I got the photoalbum up and running on a test forum before transferring it across to me main forum. I just got three REALLY simple questions...
1. How do I increase the maximum number of pictures someone can have from 10. 2. How do I change the name of the Photo Album in the Snitz Forum area. 3. Is it possible to have an album ANYONE can upload too???? i.e. like a signature pic album??
Oh, one last one, this is going to be more awkward I believe, how do I Stop people trying to upload a Bitmap, as I see bitmaps are allowed??
Thanks for ANY help from a dim witted, tired, government worker |

Just put up the fully moded Snitz forum from serverhacker. Looks great, it had the photo-album 1.50 but i upgraded it to 1.80. Almost everything seems to work fine except:
- Opening a category from a user to see the thumbnails inside; - Adding a single user photoalbum; - Viewing the troubleshoot.
When i try to preform one of the above statements the forum just freezes and i need to restart internet explorer to use the forum again.
Anyone?
Thanx in advance. |

Hi, 1. Look in Your Admin Home (photo album configuration) 2. edit the link that you put into inc_header.asp 3. Could be done, but it involves some code changes. 4. Look in Your Admin Home (photo album configuration)

I'm missing something simple here - i'm getitng this error when trying to upload to my album:
Error! File did not upload to system please contact the system administrator.
I know the folder has full permissions on it.
I also get this error when trying to delete an album through the control panel: ERROR!
Base Directory does not exist. User Not Deleted
I can add an album fine through the control panel.
Can anyone help me out here? I know my members would LOVE this mod. I'm using SQL and 3.4.03
Thanks!
