Ok I have another problem
Users cannot delete catagories that are in their ablum. I change the mlev= that I found on another thread. They can now delete their own photos but not catagories.
Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks

Hello Wes! This will be the first MOD that I have added to my forum, so I am kind of new to this. First of all, what is FileSystemObject and how to do I get that? Second, I created a folder for the pictures (e:\websites\site.com\forum\photos). When I go to test it, it says FOLDER DOESN'T EXIST ON FILE SYSTEM! I am thinking that may have to do with the FileSystemObject? Thanks in advance for your assistance.
I downloaded Photoalbum34v180.

I'm getting a the same complaint from another user on my forum. I could be wrong, but this is what I think is happening. Your computer stores picture files so it can load them faster next time your browser sees that link. I think what maybe happening is their computer is storing that picture in your temp internet directory. Eventhough, they deleted it your computer is trying to load the old saved page.
Upload a picture you want to delete. then right after deleting it. Go to your browser tool bar and click on View then Refresh, See if this deletes the picture.
Let me know if this help, I would like to get the the bottom if this one too.

When removing a category, try this: From the Delete This category: Check the box, then from the Photos will be moved to this category: use that drop down and pick another category that will stay.
LightWeb
Create a folder for the pictures in the (e:\websites\site.com\photos)
Go to the Photo Album Configuration in your Admin area and set Root file directory: to /photos
These are just some things that worked for me. |

Jeepers - Thanks, that did it, very easy!
----- My file create, write, and read failed! I use Frontpage, do I have to contact my host to change the permissions for my photo folder or can I do it myself? Thanks!

Don't use Frontpage for any reworks you do to the ASP files, use Note pad or you can download Araneae from the Internet. Araneae works best for me.
You should be alright on your folder permissions. Try it and see if it works. |

Yeah, I use Note Pad for my ASP files. I can't use Note Pad for folder permissions though can I? |

you know I get the same error when I use the Troubleshooter I don't think that troubleshooter is working right. But if I just go ahead and upload files through the Photo Album home page, or if any other member uploads from there, it works just fine. |

Try and start fresh. Go to Admin options, then to Photo Album Configuration. Then I like to set the File Size allowed in KiloBytes KB:600 , then press the Submit button. Then go back in there, click on the Album User Administration button, then the Delete Empty Accounts button. Then go to the Add A Single User Photo Album: drop down menu and pick a user you want to add, then click on the Add User button. Now, go the Photo Album and click on the Edit Your Album/Upload Files button, then the Upload Files Into Album button. Browse for a Photo you know is smaller then 600KB, then press the Upload button.
Hopefully this time your photo is uploaded and your a very happy guy. If not, I'm fresh out of ideas.

I wish I could help you, but I really don't know what the problem could be, I'm just a beginner here myself. Just make sure all of your files are in your forum directory.

Well it still does the same thing. I wonder if it is having trouble writing to the /photo/ folder. I tried several pictures, but no luck. Thanks for all your help!

I am still having a problem where the Admin is the only one who can edit or delete photos in the album. When the Moderators or members click on the category to delete or do maintaince it just takes them back to the member album listing. How do I correct this?
