Vodkafish, you'll be pleased to hear this was a very peaceful demo with a very peaceful atmosphere

It usually starts like this and some time later police state comes in. At that time people get devided into two: "sit-in strikers" & "glass smashers". This is the bad thing in violance: You never win - you only make the other side more angry or just stop them for a while (go back to underground).

I wish the times come, where all people are mature enough to talk and listen...

I hit one resource (compiled from CIA factbook). Here are the current military expenditures of top 10 countries (guess which country is the top one): http://www.aneki.com/military.html

Also look at the list to find some anti-US countries...

Hi bozden - the CND rallies back in the 80's weren't violent, some of the anti-capitalist ones are. Unsurprisingly there's an overlap between football thugs ~Britain hangs its head in shame~ and the nasty violent element. Big shame. But hopefully if these need to continue they'll continue in the spirit ofthe old CND demo's!

Saw progress on the arms inspection front last night though, fingers crossed!

Look! The UN lined up with the US again. Does anyone else think that the UN is ridiculous?
