Is it logging anything? What page/s did you put your include in? It should log traffic that uses the included page so if you put it in inc_header.asp, then it should log pretty much all traffic, but if its only included in a specific page, say default.asp, then it will only log traffic to that page.

There's a My personalization Beta here. Pager and Poll MODs haven't been completed yet.

Greetings I've followed the steps in the readme and as I wanted to protect the whole forum I put the include in inc_header.asp. I didn't touch admin_ipgate.asp or inc_ipgate.asp. I changed config.asp and admin_home. I uploaded the files and ran the dbs setup successfully. When I go to Check Installation, I get a 500 Internal Server error page cannot be displayed.
My pages show Net IPGate Include at the top and I can get in to the admin_ipgate functions fine.
What do I do?

Everthing seems to work BTW including logging. Just the check Installation function is out. |

Are all of your non-image files in the same directory, i.e. forum directory, and are all of the includes pointing to the same directory?

Hi Alex, yes they are all in the same directory. I only put 1 include in inc_header.asp right after inc_func_common.asp. |

I tried removing the include form inc_header and then running Check Installation but it made no difference. I'm using Access 2000 with 3.4.03 + Active Users mod. |

Okay I've just installed this mod. I can add ips okay, but when I try to change the values on the default admin page, they stay the same on the screen though the database new config section shows the values I try to put in. I can't do anything with the log because it says that its closed... what exactly am I suppossed to uncomment in the admin page? |

Did you add the variables to config.asp and run 'check installation' in the forum admin? That should load the variables.

Did you add the variables correctly to config.asp? Do changes to the MOD admin menu stick or revert? Did check installation work right before installing this MOD?

I ran the dbs file first which went OK. I then went to Check Installation which didn't work and gives me that error. The Mod admin menu variables stick when you change them. The mod itself works fine. The logging is great. If you like I can send you a link to a text version of config.asp? |

All the IPGate variables are visible in the Forum Variables Information page. |

Evidentially it must've processed everything. I'm not sure what from this MOD would be causing that error considering you got it even when the MOD include wasn't included. The only other thing I can think of at the moment it might be is if there was an error in the config.asp page or something with the database because this MOD doesn't really require a lot of changes to the forum. If there was a problem with those though, it doesn't seem like the MOD would even work. Usually when I get a 500 error, its because it couldn't find an included page. Are you sure it's not that or something else? Have you tried a compact/repair on the database? Checked other MOD changes also?

I've tried the compact database and it did that ok. My forum seems fine. I'll download the db and do a detect & repair. Here is a link to a text version of my config file. www.global-e.com.au/config1.txt
All my other mods work fine ie Active Users, email all users, Mikes File Attachment. |
