Is the file located at the snitz exchange the latest version? Any additions since it was posted? |

Yes, there atleast two bug-fixes that you need to add to AU 4.0.17. You can find both of them in earlier posts in this topic.

Hi' there I've configured your MOD for active users. It seems to be working al right. But when I try to access the admin_config_activeusers.asp I get the following error-message... How come, I wonder!!!
Any suggestions! The error message:
Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0126'
Include file not found
/admin_config_activeusers.asp, line 38
The include file 'Active%20Users%204.0/34/config.asp' was not found.
Best regards Claus |

I have installed the Active Users vs. 4.0.17 mod and it works great...
For a little bit. Then after I log off the board and come back some time later the Active Users area is gone. I have to go back into the Admin area and reset everything so it will show up again. Then it works great.
Again, I log off and it is still there but if I come back a while later it is gone and I have to go back into the Admin area and it is set back to the default so I have to set it up again.
Why does it keep reverting back to the default so I can't see it?
Thanks for any help! |

jfb, check that you added all the code in config.asp.
If you have added all code to config.asp, go to the Forum Variables Information page in your admin section. Check if the following variables/values are there (the values below are from my forum, which may not be exactly like those in yours):
STRAUANON 1 STRAUANONOVERRIDE 2 STRAUPALLOW 4 STRAUPCOLLAPSE 0 STRAUALLOW 4 STRAUREFRESH 0 STRAUIP 1 STRAUUA 1 STRAULOCAL 4 STRAUTIMEOUT 10 STRAUADMINCOLOR #9900CC STRAUMODCOLOR #006600 INTAURECORD 5 STRAURECORDDATE 20020816213330 STRAUPISLAND 1
If they are there but without values, run setup.asp. That should fix the problem.

masterao, here are the values that were in my Forum Variables:
STRAUANON 0 STRAUANONOVERRIDE 0 STRAUPALLOW 4 STRAUPCOLLAPSE 1 STRAUALLOW 4 STRAUREFRESH 1 STRAUIP 1 STRAUUA 2 STRAULOCAL 4 STRAUTIMEOUT 15 STRAUADMINCOLOR STRAUMODCOLOR INTAURECORD 2 STRAURECORDDATE 20020918131218 STRAUPISLAND 1
Does that look ok?

No, just this one. Kind of weird.
Would the cookie setting of a browser have anything to do with it? I wouldn't think so since I have it set to appear for everyone. |

It's not cookie-related, as AU doesn't use cookies. The next time that this happens, check the forum variables and see if the AU-variables are the same.
What OS does your webserver use, also, which db do you use?
One other thing, have you run setup.asp at any time after you added AU?

It's an Access 2000 database and the site is house on a Brinkster server.
It hasn't happened again since yesterday since I did a couple other of your tips in this thread. (Moderators view IP's and the Ghosting resolution)
So, I don't know if it is fixed or not.

Ok, we'll just have to wait and see then. Hopefully it was just some strange things happening with your application-objects.
