I think there may be a benefit to adding a 'Sticky Topic' within this section for SQL Database performance issues/modifications just like the Bug Report topic Richard set up (http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=32996).
Issues such as adding primary keys and/or indexes will be accessible in one place. I know this will require someone to monitor what type of links should be placed in there, but I think it will benefit Snitz users.
What did you have in mind exactly? Anyway, this is probably an issue for the Administrators, so I'm moving this to the Suggest forum.snitz.com forum.
Thanks for putting this within the appropriate forum.
I am always looking for ways to increase performance within the SQL database for Snitz. A lot of topics that are covered in the forums end up not being performance boosters within the database afterall (kinda likes bugs not really being bugs). It would be nice to have a sticky topic that listed links to discussions that end up being a performance help within the database.
There was one topic that was discussed today regarding the Subscription_ID not set as primary key. It would be great to have this discussion available as a link within a sticky topic.
The best example I can give is the bug list forum http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=32996). It's locked and only Richard can post relevent links to bugs and fixes. Doing the same for notifying members about changes that can (should) be made to their database would be extremely helpful.
This will also help when new releases come out. Any items that are in the sticky topic should be implemented in the new release.
Frankly I think things are a bit different here. Performance improvements are different from bug fixes. And I think probably a FAQ would be better than a sticky, but this is just my opinion.
