I've just downloaded and installed the lastest version (3.3.05). When ever I create a profile it tells me the profile was created correctly, then goes to another sceeen saying:

There Was A Problem With Your Details

You must choose a UserName
You must choose a Password
You Must give an email address
You Must enter a valid email address

However, it did properly create the profile. It does this EVERYTIME.

I believe this happens if you don't first go through policy.asp to register.

I am having the same problem with my installation. I don't have it set to require validation by email so I am wondering if it has something to do with that.

In registering with /this/ forum (to post this question) I noticed that after successfully entering my profile info, I get the following message:

"Your Registration Is Almost Complete!

Please follow the instructions in the e-mail that has been sent to email@domain.com to complete your registration."

Right after, it redirects back to the default categories page. This redirect is where my site barfs and gives the error screen.

BTW, I am forcing people to go through policy.asp first.

Thanks,

Tim

The problem is most likely due to your virus scanner or firewall blocking the HTTP_REFERER option (in ZoneAlarm it's the "mobile code" setting). You can try registering with those turned off. If that fixes the problem, then you'll have to find the appropriate setting in the firewall (or virus scanner) and turn that off.
