Reason I ask is that I am running a modified 3.4.02. The only file that the upgrade overwrites, that I have also modified, is config.asp. Was thinking of just making the change to config.asp manually so I don't have to redo my mods. :)
No, it's not. There is also the definition of a new table prefix, for the BADWORDS table (I don't have the code here, so I can't give the exact line). Have a look at the new config.asp and you'll find it.
I have modified some of these files but I want to upgrade to the new version. Will the update overwrite my changes I have made. Do I have to reintall the mods to those files?
I think next time I do a mod I will change the color of the new text so I can see them easier.

Yes

So now I will have to review all the mods and compare with what is in the new release. Then update those files with the mods again! What a pain!
It is not an easy thing to re-do the mods again(for me) From now on it makes sense to add the changed/added text in color so I'll be able to find them for future new releases.
Would it be easier to start from the beginning and re-do all the mods?
