Let me start by apologizing if this has already been asked and answered.

I recently uploaded the snitz forum to the /forum/ directory and the snitz_forums_2000.mdb to the /cgi-bin/ directory, according to the readme.txt

I then completed the installation by opening the setup.asp and getting the Congratulations!

I then logged in as the administrator (admin/admin) and clicked on the “Admin Options” link – that’s where the problem arises.

I got ‘The page cannot be displayed’ … HTTP 500 - Internal server error Internet Explorer screen. Since that gave me no information, I opened up my Opera and tried the same thing. I got the following message:

Microsoft VBScript compilation error '800a0411'
Name redefined
/forum/config.asp, line 358
dim strDBType, strConnString, strTablePrefix, strMemberTablePrefix '## Do Not Edit
----^

Here’s where it gets confusing: when I open my config.asp, it only has 316 lines. The dim they are referring to is on line 42 (odd that 316 + 42 = 358).

I can go to the individual admin_config.asp files just fine by typing them into the address; It just won’t open the admin_home.asp.

FYI, I have also cleared the cookies, deleted the temporary internet files, and restarted my machine, as was suggested in a different topic.

Any suggestions?

Looks like config.asp is being included twice. How can that be possible? You must have changed your files, somehow?!

not that I know of. I have only removed the two ' from the config.asp file.

which file would you assume to have changed?

BTW, the site is www.thesportsims.com/forum/
