I've read the discussions about the "drop-down-situation" and I've thought about it.
Like some others too, I'd appreciate a Next Page or > in addition to the drop down box.

I've marked the best positions (IMO) of such a link in the image below:

Just a suggestion

Can't do that. The space on the right is used for the icons for admins and moderators And you'd also need a "previous page" link... it'd become one crowded place of links to all sorts of places if you wanted to put all those things there

Hmm... the position on the left would be better anyway, cause people already move their mouse to the dropdown box.

In that case you'd have to make those links either above or below that select box, which would double the height of the bottom "header" and pull it all out of fashion. You can't put them behind the select box because of the width of that left-most column, and likely confusion over the function of the links (if you don't use text links that are descriptive enough)

Another suggestion for the topic page:
Shouldn't there be a "go Down" button, if you're on page 3 and you think "he wat did they say on the previous page"
you choose page 2 but now you're on the beginning off this page.

After using the drop down a bit more maybe you don't need a go Down button.
If you choose a pagenumber before the current page you instantly should go to the bottom off the previous page.

I just looked at the HTML source (java) and see that it's not a simple change. if you want to I can give you an example how to do this.

Please, Please, Please, if I make a suggestion in this forum it's because I really like this forum and want to help making it better, responses to an earlier suggestion of mine were very negative. So if you don't like a suggestion, just say it in a normal way, ignore me or delete my message.

Maybe I'm going to Add this last sentence into my signature.

Why not just make the font smaller for that navigation and then do something like:

< Page[3] >

where the [3] is the drop down box.

Great!
I think it improves the layout too!

Will it be included in the standard release or will you release the code as a (small) MOD?

standard release. This forum is running on the v3.4 code that will be released as the final code (except for the search.asp page).

You know, perhaps the search page should provide a drop down list IF the number of members is below X ammount. If its above, then it would provide an input box instead.

I'm sure more forum than this one have a problem with that member list getting out of control.
