Is it just me? The search page does not open at all (not the results, the empty form I mean). I'm just looking at the blue bar for a couple of minutes, in my 10th trial...

Remember it is loading the hundreds of members that are registered here in the Members drop down box.

19,715 members? Thats weird. It will make that much <option> lines !!! The file size is 1 MB, and I'm at 64 kbps Cable...
Please, if that select box is functioning, remove it and put the old nice input box...

I vouch for the input box too. I am on a 56k modem and it takes about 3-5 minutes for the search page to load. And I use it often enough.

Even on cable it takes too much time. It will discourage the use of the page, I think.

No need to think  It would and will. If they changed it in the last forum, I cant see why they wont this time , for us 56k people, and even you cablers

this is how long it takes to generate the page for me, and I see it that quickly too, but yes it will most likely be changed back to an edit box.
