I have just updated all my files with the polls mod and i am now not getting anything just this error code:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'

[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified

/forum/inc_top.asp, line 75

please help!

Looks like you changed your config.asp?! Want to post the value of strConnString and strDBType here so that we can have a look?

Soory not sure what "strConnString and strDBType" is new too working with databases.
i took a hint from your mention of the cinfig file so I uploaded my old copy and the forum now displays.
I went in to admin to do the installation and I got all these errors:
-2147217900 | [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Syntax error in ALTER TABLE statement.
So I reuploaded my old database but now i cant access the forums?

Well it's difficult to help without seeing your config.asp. Can you save it as config.txt, upload it to your site and post a link to it here?

Change your connection string to:

strConnString = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=" & Server.MapPath("/cgi-bin/snitz_forums_2002.mdb")
