Hmmm,
second from the bottom message on page 19 is quoting the first message on page 20
Is it a bug? Don't see any edited by message in either message. |

Sorry to say, but I just found one and it seems to be consistent. I reported the bug in the v3.4 bug area.
When posting, the page that I am replying to is NOT shown below my post. It is another page. It has happened as I am posting this.
As Huw and Richard said, the original post is shown first, and then the last 25 replies from latest to oldest below that. If the post you're replying to is more than 25 replies before your reply, it will indeed not be shown on post.asp in the topic review.
That is what is happening. I bolded what I have misunderstood. Now that you posted that statement, it does seem to be working that way.
My apologies.
I'd rather see the post that I was replying to so I could refer to it as I am replying. But that is not a major issue. I can live with this.
Thanks.
Mike

Did we ever finalise the line up for Snitz the Movie?
Is it too late for Morgan Freeman to audition for a part? |

Don't understand it then. I went back and can't find that quote posted on any earlier messages, but I also noticed that cheers is included in the quote on page 19 and this is part of the sig on page 20. I tried replying to that post myself and cheers is not included with the reply text (I didn't post the reply). I guess we'll have to get sy and Classic to let us in on the conspiracy .

No need. Classic posted a reply similar to the one that appears on page 20. sy did a reply with quote on that one. Classic then deleted this reply of his. And then reposted a similar reply just a while later.

No problem. I rather see someone make a mistake and keep us alert, than not to report a possible bug at all

That would be easier, but would also mean quite some more work as there'd have to a another icon for "reply to this post without quote" |

I use to have seperate icons set up in 3.1 to reply and to reply w/quote. The second icon I used was . I lost this when I upgraded to 3.3 and never added it back. |

Well, you could use a similar idea as reply with quote, but display the reply you're replying to above the original topic for example. That probably wouldn't even be too difficult... |
