Sy
it isn't working, it should show the initial topic, then the last 25 replies, which it isn't doing, just scroll down and see if you can see the post you quoted
Thats what i said it was doing ;), still working btw, it worked for me on the other topic for this issue as well.
Is this cacheing problem of post.asp with lots of replies and pages, something must be happening if more than one of us has experienced it. |

Actually, Davio's original July 16 post is immediately under the posting window. Again, I'm not logged on ... just entering my info (user name & password) as I go ... |

I never check the Topic Review part so I can't say if it has or hasn't happened to me. It sure is weird though.
Rich, you did a reply with quote when that happened, right? |

suspect that this is only an issue for topics with at least 543 replies and over 11,511 views within the previous 24 hours

One time yes; one time no ...
Actually, now it's fine ... Davio's original post followed by the 25 newest posts!

You people are just crazed, I cannot believe I left the computer at pg 17 and just came back to page 22.
If the 3.4 release doesnt show up soon, we'll need a support group.
PS> I have a topic that was huge for such a long time that it was in the 30s (pages) but that was over the course of about 1 yr. I had to do a little custom mod to enable the same "just the last 15" replies when you replied otherwise people were timing out.
But this is a great stress test. |

As the server doesn't seem that stressed, we can then save on shrink's fees . |

If a date was known, it'd have been posted by now. There are some things to work out as of yet so I don't think a date will be given. We'll only end up hearing comments about broken promises etc. etc. if the ETA gets missed again. |

Okay, I think there will go about some weeks before I could install 3.4 on my webhost |

Gosh, aren't we optimistic today? I haven't told you anything new... No ETAs are given except when Huw or Richard decide to do so. Unfortunately those have proven to be somewhat unreliable (the ETAs nor Richard and Huw ) due to small bugs that were found later. I like to play it safe and not give any ETAs until I'm 99% certain about it. |
