Hopefully there will be a SR4 for the bug. Because (I can't talk for others), I thing I'll stay with version 3.1 with Service Pack. Because I don't think I'll like the .CSS add to it. I have to support older (and alternate) browsers on the site I use Snitz.

The purpose of this coming upgrade will be to write the CSS and display code to work with older and newer browsers with more fluidity. However, the choice to not upgrade is entirely yours.

No functionality will be lost.

Sorry, but CSS don't work with older version of browser. So old version will lost most of the good look. I know you could have both, but not without reducing support for older version.

In case of this error when opening <b>default.asp</b>:

<pre id=code><font face=courier size=2 id=code>
--------------------------------------
Microsoft VBScript compilation error '800a03ea'

Syntax error

?
</font id=code></pre id=code>

or this error:

<pre id=code><font face=courier size=2 id=code>
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'

[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified

/snitz/inc_top.asp, line 42
</font id=code></pre id=code>
while you are sure you edited config.asp the right way.

Then check out this topic: http://forum.snitz.com/forum/link.asp?TOPIC_ID=3013

for a way to fix it.

I could swear I have seen this mentioned somewhere before. This is a fresh install of 3.1 SR3 on Windows 2000 Server, opening Default.asp:

Microsoft VBScript compilation error '800a03ee'

Expected ')'

/forum/Default.asp, line 272

if rsForum("F_TYPE")="1" then Response.Write(" colspan="4")" % bgcolor="<% =strForumCellColor
--------------------------------------------------------^

Does anyone have the reference on this? Thanks.

Looks like the file got messed up on the upload. Make sure you're not uploading it with FrontPage, and also make sure you upload the files ASCII, not binary...

I was unsure where to post this and apologize if I picked the wrong thread. My 3.1 R3 install with NT authentication (Win2KServer) was working GREAT until I turned on NT autologin. Now I can't do anything with it. I get the following error.

<b>
HTTP 500.100 - Internal Server Error - ASP error
Internet Information Services

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Technical Information (for support personnel)

Error Type:
Microsoft VBScript runtime (0x800A01B6)
Object doesn't support this property or method: 'strNTUserInfo.FullName'
/forums/inc_functions.asp, line 1248

Browser Type:
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.01; Windows NT 5.0)

What was the reason for the Notepad-incompatible files in this distribution?

Don't know, switched to EditPad hoping this would be something of the past.
I'll try to remember to check the files with Notepad for the next SR.
