Does anyone know if Snitz forums product has a feature to do the following.

I'd like to be able to set a user as being the person who approves (i.e. reads and agrees) any submission made on the forum. This person would then authorise the submission which will then appear on the forum.

Can this be done, I tried applying the moderator feature but this did not do anything. I think thats just a setting that allows a user to be able to delete etc etc.

any comments appreciated

john

It's called "moderation". You need to set it on all levels (board, category, forum). You can set it so a mod/admin has to approve all original topics, all replies to a topic, or all posts period.

Thanks for your reply - but I still cannot seem to get this to work.

I've logged in as ADMIN, went to members and created a user called MODERATOR. I then edited it and made it moderator.

However, when I post a message as scobiej as a reply to someone - it gets added without the moderator having to approve it.

can you help me - i must be missing something

thanks

john

Moderators dont have to approve administrators posts.
