 error in forum edit/update submission		  New Topic  Topic Locked

form: edit forum properties
action:on submit
result: Error: a runtime error has occured. do you wish to debug? line: 565 error:Object Expected
the line itself is:
"<td bgColor="navyblue"><input name="Submit" type="submit" value="Post Changes" onclick="selectUsers()">  <input name="Reset" type="reset" value="Reset Fields"></td>
the highlighted word in the debugger is "selectUsers()"

the problem above happens with all forums. can anybody help?

sounds like you have a corrupt inc_functions.asp. the selectUsers() function is missing.

Thanks for your instant help. I have tried to ftp the original file "inc_functions.asp" to the site but i still get that error message. Should I do something different ?

I have found the file POST in http://kinser.121hosts.net/link-it/default.asp?catid=3&cattitle=FILES
I have installed it instead of the old post.asp, and the problem is solved...

I was just about to post this...

it's just called post

mclek, that's basically what I did. Looks like the conversion to use the selectbox.js file was started, but never really finished.

btw. Excellent troubleshooting!
