Your Host has FSO disabled probably,

Try using this instead http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=17934

It may also happen that you have an anti-virus with script blocking activated. If that's the case, inactivate it.

I disabled anitvirus still does not work. what happens is when I click mod setup it just runs and runs and kind of hangs.

turned off antivirus still no help

what is FSO?

is there something I have to change to get mod setup to work?

I am trying to install active users 4, is there anyother way to do it instead of using mod setup?

Also I am my own host using windows 2000 and access 2000

any ideas?

Do as Gremlin suggested and take a look at this link: http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=true&TOPIC_ID=17934

You can use the dialogs shown there to execute the instructions in active users dbs file.

FSO is FileSystemObject itd a component that allows IIS to read files and directorys.

Usually if you've set the server up yourself and haven't touched anything then FSO would normally be enabled, so maybe its not that. The most frequent other cause is the anti-virus like ruirib pointed out, but looks like you've ruled that out also.

Have you installed any of the MS IIS Security tools on your webserver ? I have a funny feeling one of them if you didn't specifically uncheck a box would lock it down so tight that FSO wouldnt work anymore.

The only thing I have added to IIS was the service packs from Microsoft.

Do I have to create a database file for mod set up to work? The only data base file in access is snitz_forums_2000.mdb

If I need to check the FSO set up what do I need to do and set it to what?

or does anyone know where a downloadable snitz forum with all the modes included is?

thanks for the help.
