My Forum is here: http://www30.brinkster.com/waterski/default.asp

It's been running fine until I attempted to add the files in the "hide_email_address_33" folder.

The upload did not complete successfully because of Brinkster not liking some of the files.

I don't care too much about the hide email address facility but it has messed up my forum and I don't know how to get things back on track.

If you look at my forum & try to select any member profile, there's nothing there. Also no one can register. I don't know what has happened.

Please help me get my forum back to working order. I have just mailed out to my 500 members waterski members to join the forum but it's down already <aaaaargh!!!>

Thanks in advance
Robbie

Did you replace your own files with those of the Hide Email MOD?
If so, did you remember to add On Error Go To 0 to the bottom of the files, right before the %> ?

It's generally not recommended to replace your own files with those of a MOD as they're only there for reference... You could re-upload your clean, non Hide Email MOD, files if you remembered to make a backup of them before you overwrote them online.

Yes it seems I replaced my own files with those of the Hide Email MOD without adding On Error Go To 0 to the bottom of the files, right before the %>.

I simply saw the MOD files published & I had no reason to doubt that they would work.

You wrote: <You could re-upload your clean, non Hide Email MOD, files if you remembered to make a backup of them before you overwrote them online>

What is the name of that file? and have i overwritten a file which contains member data?

The only files I have are:
1) On my PC - what I originally downloaded from you guys.
2) On Brinkster

Please could you suggest my best (if not perfect) course of action now.

Thanks for a fast response!
I appreciate your time ;-)

First try to add the On Error Go To 0 (that's a zero, not the letter O) to the files you replaced. If that doesn't fix it you'll have to re-upload your original files and see if that fixes it. You might have to download the Brinkster files from the Snitz Exchange (link is in my signature).

Roland thanks.

Problem solved.

Now I just need to implement "hide email address" correctly.

You are very very helpful & efficient.
It's appreciated.

Good work!

Robbie
