Hi guys!

I'm new both to this forum and to snitz and I found Snitz Forum 2000 a masterpiece; a proof that organized voluntary work can do marvelous stuff!

I intend to use the SF2K in my Student's Union webpage (http://www.dagv.org.br not yet implemented!) and I'd really like to build a workgroup for creating a Portuguese Language Pack.

Any brazilian (or portuguese, angolan, east timorean, moçambiquean(?))snitz's user that would like to help, please, e-mail me at: cjalmeida@gvmail.br

Até mais! (see ya ;)

There are already lang packs both for brasilian and portuguese portuguese. There are already two topics addressing this issue. One is called Workgroup: Portuguese and the other Workgroup: Portuguese - PT (2070).

If you visit the topics you'll find the link to the lang packs.

It will be very nice to see more people working on language files. It will ensure better quality and keeping the files up to date with versions.

If you don't mind, I'll lock this topic and bump the others.

Well I guess you don't need to start from scratch. Maybe someone can take a look to what has been done and improve any string thought to be less well translated... But I have nothing against someone doing all over again.
I think he didn't know there were lang packs (the topics are way down in the forum list)...

Bump the others? What do you mean?
But you can lock this one, if you want.

It seems that I couldn't express myself. If a language translation is a very bad one, then perhaps it will be better to translate from start - not a case until now. What I meant here is if "workgroups" become real workgroups instead of one-man-shows (if I can call it like this), the result will be better. The more people are using it, working on it, the better will these become.

What I ment with "others" is, the workgroup links you already gave. Bumping means to bump them up to the front of the list, so that newer members can find it.

cjalmeida, try to use the search feature . It will be very appreciated if you join the other workgroups, instead of re-inventing the wheel.

I'm locking this topic.
