I updated the readme.html file because there was some confusion on the alterations to inc_top_short.asp

Give me the colors you want and I'll add them.
Highlighting in preview works now too.
By the way, Nathan was kind enough to put in some other colors for your pleasure

Humm, for some reason eveything inside
and
on your site becomes red Frutz.

Seems like you have to have <% and %> for highlighting to work on things like keywords and functions and such. So, hypothetical situation....someone pastes a few lines of code from the middle of a large block of asp code. Is there a way to account for that?

If you dont have <% and %> then you can use [highlight:asp] and [/highlight:asp]

If you defined anything as red in the highlighter config, that's probably the problem. I don't use red in any of my CSS statements.

It's seems like if you don't put %> on the same line as the <%, you get unexpected results.

Lines should only break comments.
They dont currently break strings, thats a bug.
Roland, the hilighter code will not affect the
tags. Only stuff between the tags is parsed. Unless you have a CSS class for your forum thats got the same name as a CSS class in the mod.

Roland,
When I try and prview my post I get this....
fdfdsfds[/hilight]
The ending tag that it inserted when I told it to promt me was wrong.
Is there any madness to what color it codes stuff? On the test page on Rolands site, I couldnt tell what colors it did.

Its a spelling error/typo, I got it fixed and am uploading a new zip. It only effected "Prompt" mode.
You can see a demo forum with some more readable (no offence to Frutz) here -- > http://www.ls3k.com/highlighter/

Yep. that's Nathan's fault

Thanks Nathan. I can remove the highlighter from my forums now. No offence, but I like the RTE better than the highlighter and since they don't go together...

I can write a function to make them work together. Probably will do that for RTE version 2 me thinks.
