nicely done, I think I am going to do that as well. looks cleaner...
maybe you should post your code as an alternative in this thread.
I have no problem getting it done but I am sure you are going to have
some people that will ask once they see it. I can modify the first
post I made with a link to your code as an alternative if you are
interested.

In fact I was thinking of taking this a step further and doing the quote by author like IkonBoard where they use tables instead of horizontal rules.
I saw that too and I thought that was really cool. I was planning on doing it too, but I don't have the time. I would definelty use that mod.

Still isn't working for me. It doesn't replace all the html with
like it should. Here are my two inc functions.

Function #1
'reply with original author details
fString = replace(fString, "<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=" & strFooterFontSize & " face=""" & strDefaultFontFace & """ id=quote>quote from ","[quote-", 1, -1, 1)
fString = replace(fString, ":<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>","-]", 1, -1, 1)
'reply with original author details

Function #2
'reply with original author details
fString = replace(fString, "[quote-", "<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=" & strFooterFontSize & " face=""" & strDefaultFontFace & """ id=quote>quote from ", 1, -1, 1)
fString = doCode(fString, "-]", "
", "<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>", "<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face=""" & strDefaultFontFace & """ size=" & strDefaultFontSize & " id=quote>")
'reply with original author details

Anyone see any problems? Which function does what?

I might have some of the code commented out so the regular quote works, but just look at the syntax and see if you see any problems.

BikerBob, one issue with your version. nested quotes causes some of the text to be white. so you can't see white on white...

I installed and it looks good. I change the posted by line to the top instead of right aligning at the bottom. It works fine but when one of my user quote a quote that was running on previous quote mod I get some block quote error. It is difficult to explain, you can see it at the bottom of this link:

Please help. Cheers
