You must give the directory of the database and the databse read/write permission

I think you should add portal options mod to it. If you have one with full version. Please send me a copy (I found that Portal option v1.2 was lacking of some files)

In your zip file: lacking of FileAttatchment.txt; FileAttachment.mod in mods derectory.

Am I right or wrong?

I have implemented Richard Kinsers fix:

for both versions availible for download. If you have not modified inc_functions.asp yet after your downloaded the forum you can just overwrite your excisting file with this:

http://home19.inet.tele.dk/surf99/inc_functions.asp

....and the minor fix in pop_pword.asp is here:

Hizoze, I think there are already 2-3 portals out availible for download. If you want a portal I can recomend Huwr´s portal.

I fixed my original problem

but now I'm getting an error on my forum

-2147467259|Operation must use an updateable query.

says that on the top of the default.asp, above the logo

any ideas?

I have successfully managed to install your forum for dummies on all 4 of my websites and they work perfectly with 1 exception.

I cannot add members to the private forums. The right listbox contains the exising members with access plus 2 blank entries. When I add new members and save, it clears them all. I have even tried with moving the 2 blank entries back to the left listbox and saving.

Please help me with this one. I need to add new members and instead have removed all existing ones ):

The problem you have is a general bug in version 3.3.03 - the problem was solved here:

I have implemented this bugfix in the normal version. If you have not added more mods to your forum then already included in the dummie version - you can just replace the post.asp with this:

Hello !
I was using free Php based forums and i would like to switch to asp ones.
What about the links at the beginning of the topic ? I cant download the file, did I miss something ?

It does have read/write properties

I tried install even just the regular version of snitz and I get the same error.

I have been trying to DL the normal ver. and from the best as I can read of German? it says file not found I think

could you please fix this... I hate reinventing the wheel
