Sorry, I should have given more info. I downloaded the non-brinkster version and I edited the config.asp to point to the directory without using the virtual path, like you suggested earlier in this message thread. I am sure its something very simple, because I was having trouble with setting the rights to the directories earlier.
Here is a link to the forum so you can see exactly what it is doing.

Could not use ''; file already in use.
/forum/mods/upload_avatar_engine.asp, line 162
I donīt know what this is all about so I canīt help you, sorry Are you sure that you have given write-permission to "uploaded" dir ?

I have been experimenting with your project here and downloaded the non-brinkster version. It was a great joy to find a forum ready to go that already has all these mods added in. I wanted to replace my current version which has no mods but has a number of members and posts in it already but every time I try to get it to use my .mdb instead of the included one, I get errors. I tried a number of ways including renaming the included file to package.mdb2 and dropping my old one in and renaming it to package.mdb so I was sure the path was correct. It still wouldn't work. Any idea if I can get this to work? My users would like the new options, but would be sad about losing all their posts and having to register again.

You would have to add serval tables to your old database. I will see if I find the time today to uplaod the db-setup files needed to run the modded forum with your old databse.

Sorry to ask this but can I install the file attachment mod in the topic.asp? If I just add the codes from the original attachment mod to topic.asp will it work?

@nixon:
Here is the db-files needed to upgrade your old databse, some of them are already there, you either owerwrite them or use the excisting files.
If you already use version 3.3.03:
1.) Upload the files to your forum-dir, then go to admin-options and select "MOD Setup" - a list of addons is visible in a drop-down box. Select them one by one from the list, but beaware that there might be some update-parts among in the list, or there migt be 2 selections a 97 db and a 2000 (default) - use the defaults, if you leave the checkbox selected you will get a better overview how long you are in the proces, becaurse the dbs-files get deleted after you run them, and you only need them this one time anyway. If your forum is already a version 3.3.03 then you donīt have to do anything else, you schould be ready to run your forum. Remember to take a backup copy of your old forum first.
OBS! - If you donīt use version 3.3.03:
1.) Make the db-changes in description above on your old forum files. 2.) Upload the modded Snitz version and run setup.asp from your browser. This schould do it I think. If not you might need to run the db-files once more. But remember to take a backup-copy of your old forum first.
@suhern: You will need the original "mod_config.asp" file also from the required files (Huwrīs Mod Control) - save this TXT-file as ASP-file. Donīt forget to uncomment the parts that have to do with the uploading part. I canīt tell you if it works, I donīt use the upload-feuture myself, only for avatars.

I have uploaded it now to 7host. But I would rather use my host that doesn't work any more!!
And it doesn't work. None of the pages load so I can't really get anywhere.
