This function is not working for my forum. I have tried both Kal Corps MODs in the register.txt files. I register as a new member, but nothing happens. I'm not automatically logged on as the new member.

I'm running the forum with a service provider that is using (MSCIS 2.5) Microsoft Windows NT® Server 4.0 operating system and Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) 4.0. (Quoted from my service providers technical specifications)

Any ideas?

Are Cookies on? and are you in db mode or NT?

This is ONLY for DB mode.

Have you changed anything from the V3 Final?

I'll check again, It should be the code when you hit the logon button.

Sorry Buddy <img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle>

Kal Corp,

Cookies are on, running in DB mode. I'm using Acc 2000, virtual path.

Also tried to set cookies to both forum and website - nothings changed. I'm not logged on automatic - in fact nothing is happening.

The code is Snitz final v.3.0, having included animedjs paging, last post, statistics, and minimizing (both statistics and categories), topic_nav, and slemieux' printer-friendly version. Don't recall any of these additions having any change in the register.asp.

Seems like I'm having some strange settings, code or environment since everyone else seems to have this running OK...

This function causes my register.asp to reload over, and over and over...etc?
I have no other mods.

I did something like this for NT mode where a NT user gets logged on automatically.

The nt user does not even have to register. NT authenication provides the username. The email can be easily formed by concatenating the domain to that username since the nt user are on the same domain.

Well, getting closer. The registration is successful, but then I get this error:

Header Error

/board/register.asp, line 241

The HTTP headers are already written to the client browser. Any HTTP header modifications must be made before writing page content.

(me hates frontpage, it does evil to me)
Any other suggestions?

So the Auto Register works? <img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle>

If not, take it out, and check that the forum is working first. then added it with notepad.exe <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
