Trinity,
The company you are talking about is bandwidthunlimited.net and they are a great host to host your site with. Snitz was moved from their servers, not because they are a bad host. If you need a host, you should check them out.

Take a look at forumsquare.com. Register and go to the modsquare (link is on the top-right of the page. That's where I went for a little help and mods while Snitz was down.
By the way, welcome back! For me a couple good things have come from the crashing of the server as well as bad things. Of course I lost all ±120 posts I had, but I also had to figure out things without running here for help. So now I know a bit more about ASP
Anyway, welcome back and let's get busy posting... I've been biting my nails ever since the forums here went down

maybe I don't know all the facts but I have to disagree. if data was LOST because daily backups was not being made then the host is to blame. however, I don't care, I am glad to see Snitz back up and running.

dayve,
You're absolutely correct... backups were done. However, I have no control over a partner that backed out of a deal after 2 hard drives broke down (so raid theory is thrown right out the window) and he decided to throw the backup tape across the room and destroy it. I lost almost $8000 bucks in that deal......
Do you seriously think it was my intention to lose important data and let folks down that I've had a rappor with for years? C'mon now... think before you start speaking, ok?
To everyone else: I sincerely apologize for the severe inconvenience of Snitz being down and that certainly was not my intentions and it was out of my control. I've taken a close look at my service and have made a drastic decision ----- I'm am hosting the people that I currently have and no one else. I have one server now and am actually enjoying life and missed having a personal life.
I'm sorry that things worked out this way and that 1 month of data was lost...
I wish everyone here a wonderful weekend and may god bless all of you.
If you ever want to just drop me a line and say hello, that's fine too but I will be laying extremely low for a very long time.
My reputation now is severely tarnished and I cannot recover from that on a personal standpoint. I did give my 100% effort but that wasn't enough :(
Godd bless!

Bad and Good things happen everyday. One can't expect to have only good things because unexpected things also come to you.
I once formatted my whole hard drive unintentionally by installing Linux on the same box. The data I have had since I first had begun to use the computer, was totally deleted. I was very upset, but well, I learned the lesson.
Now that you know you may have this problems occur to one of your servers again, therefore back up should be done very carefully.
Good luck with your hosting, and be courageous!

Ohhh I did that too... I lost all info on one hard disk and it contained files of clients of mine... all gone. Luckily I had the most important files on another hard disk but still I lost a years work if I'd have to get it all back.
Backups are too important to forget simply because it takes time to make them.

The best backup procedures in the world won't circumvent that though perhaps duplicate backups might have in this case, but thats also easier said than done.
