The only messages we lost were from around September 2, 2001 until the day the server crashed. All of the other messages are still there, they are just in the archives.

You can access each forum's archive by going to default.asp and looking in the right hand column for the following icon:

Yep, the topics are in the archive, but they are not counted in the post count (in my case).
But it doesn`t matter.
