I realized that I have no idea what the difference between "Authorization: DB or NT" means. The pre-existing help file says: "You can either select DataBase or NT Domain authorization."

Gor? David? Rein? What does this mean?

(And how come there isn't a "sheepish" smiley? =)

DB authentication means the Snitz user is determined from the members table in the database. NT means the user is determined from the current NT user logged on the computer.

NT authentication is most applicable to an Intranet environment.

Adding one more question: If I choose "NT" I'll get the following message: "There was a problem... - you have to enable non-anonymous..."

How do I enable non-anonymous access?

How does Snitz work with NT accounts? On a group or domain level?

(I'm using Snitz on an Intranet, and wants to allow everybody to be posting comments without any registration.)<

You didn't need to post in this very old topic. There is nothing wrong in making a new topic. If you noticed, it's 4 years old. Not to mention, if you searched in the NT Authorization forum, there are a number of topics explaining how to enable non-anonymous access on your server.

One of them being: topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=47704
Another one: topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6075

If you have any more questions, please start a new topic in the appropriate forum.<
