In Internet Information Server, you must uncheck Anonymous access to the forum folders.

To do this:

1. Open Internet Service Manager
2. Go to the web site where the forum is installed
3. Right-click on the folder where the forum is installed
4. Click Properties
5. Click Directory Security tab
6. Under Anonymous Access and Authentication Control, click [Edit...]
7. Uncheck "Allow Anonymous Access"
8. Click OK
9. Click OK
10. Close Internet Service Manager
11. Test the forum again

That should do you....

I'm getting the same error message, but I'm using PWS on a workstation to test it. Can you enable NT Authentication in this case as well? Thanks for any help!

I think NT Authentication only works if you are using NTFS instead of FAT. However, PWS might not have the feature to do so. I don't use it, so I don't know. Windows 2000 Professional comes with IIS 5.0, which is what I run at home and at work.
