About permissions, What is the database permissions suppossed to be set to? I know we were having problems viewing pages without certain permissions, but don't want to leave it completely vulnerable, we're still trying to fix that hack problem.

If you have your database in a directory on your webserver that is not accessible to the internet, you should be ok.
