Posted - 25 March 2007 : 03:25:22 Snitz needs visual verification when new users are signing in. Often new users wants to write immediately after they registered, and if I put them on hold waiting for my approval they don't come back.
Is someone working on a plug-in for visual verification or does it already exist?
On another forum I have (not Snitz) visual verification of registering new users have proven to be a very effective anti spam measure.
With visual verification I mean that you have to copy graphical numbers in a box in order to be approved< |

Posted - 26 March 2007 : 04:25:20 Bear in mind, though, that CAPTCHAs do not currently meet any standards for accessibility and they are no substitute for e-mail verification or admin approval; spammers will still be able to register on your forums manually.

I believe many people use this one.
