Snitz needs visual verification when new users are signing in. Often new users wants to write immediately after they registered, and if I put them on hold waiting for my approval they don't come back.

Is someone working on a plug-in for visual verification or does it already exist?

On another forum I have (not Snitz) visual verification of registering new users have proven to be a very effective anti spam measure.

With visual verification I mean that you have to copy graphical numbers in a box in order to be approved<

There is a couple mods out there that will do this.

I believe many people use this one.

Also, if you search for "CAPTCHA" (a CAPTCHA is what you are looking for, and what you will usually find it listed as) you'll find a couple more that haven't been put up on snitzbitz.com (to the best of my knowledge)<

Bear in mind, though, that CAPTCHAs do not currently meet any standards for accessibility and they are no substitute for e-mail verification or admin approval; spammers will still be able to register on your forums manually.
